Project Profile
Location
The proposed location of the project is the site along Mavoor Road at which the present Bus Station is situated.
The Project
The proposed project is
envisaged to accommodate all the required facilities of the present Bus
station in addition to the future needs and other infrastructural
facilities required for the smooth functioning of the Bus station. The Bus
station is design as a model project with all facilities and 800 finishes
to the math the recent developments in international projects. Since the
project is located in the highly commercial area of Calicut. The project in envisaged to utilised the commercial
important to make the projects financially feasible. The space buildable
below and above the Bus terminals were fully utilized for providing
commercial spaces, Parking facilities etc within the permissible limits of
the Kerala Building rules.
Cost of Project
The approximate cost
of the project comes to Rs. 27 cores including all finishing works.
Time of Completion
The time of completion of the project in
the 12 months from handing over the sight for execution. However the
contract will be framed in such a way that the required space will be
partially handed over so as to open the bus terminal before the end of the
year since the Bus station is located at the lower part.
Mode of Execution
The
commissioning of the project will be on B.O.T basis with full investment at
reasonable terms. The agencies has to be properly pre-qualified to ensure
the creditability and capacity for handling the project.
Methodology of selection of
Agency for B.O.T. System
First Stage Pre-Qualification
Previous experience in similar
projects, financial capacity of the agency, other details of establishments
and the credibility of the establishment will be considered for
Pre-qualifying at this stage. Marks will be awarded for various aspects for
selection of agency. Three or four agencies will be selected and graded
according to the valuation and tabulation of marks for the final bid. The
main condition of pre-qualifying are minimum turn over of Rs. 25 cores,
previous experience of similar projects costing more than Rs. 5 cores and
net worth about Rs.10 cores etc. The lease of period will be taken as 26 ½
years and the figure quoted will be annual lease amount.
Final Bid and Selection
After issuing the Bid
documents a pre-bid meeting will be arranged for clarification
Of all aspects of the bid. The
conditions will be negotiated with the highest Bidder. Agreement form will
be provided with the bid documents keeping all legal and penal clauses to
ensure timely completion of the project.
Project Monitoring
The project monitoring will
be carried out jointly by the engineering wing of K.S.R.T.C and the
Architects to ensure quality, stability and timely completion as per the
approved projects. The monitoring cell will be meeting at regular intervals
to appraise K.S.R.T.C regarding the progress.
